There might have been countless records broken in Beijing over the last ten days or so but as of yesterday afternoon Maddie and I also hold a world record.

Yes, you read that right. Maddie, I and Grandma (and 1,104 others) yesterday broke the World Record for "most people doing YMCA in the same place at the same time". OK, so it might be an utterly preposterous record to hold but we are going to feature in the next Guinness Book of Records. Waking up to realise that we hold a world record (or contributed a tiny percentage of one) is *amazing* and precisely the reason we were the first people in the queue yesterday to participate.

It was all quite technical (we all had do do the "C" in the same direction for example) otherwise we'd have rendered the attempt invalid. It also took about an hour to arrange, but we smashed the record by about 50 people. Get us!
